Known as echo chamber.

When individuals seek validation for their beliefs, they tend to filter out conflicting information and embrace content that aligns with their views.

Many online platforms now use personalized algorithms to cater content to users' preferences, contributing to this selective exposure. This can lead to a limited understanding of differing perspectives and further reinforce existing biases. In extreme cases, an 'echo chamber' effect occurs, where like-minded individuals repeatedly echo and distort information until it becomes widely accepted as truth.
